Roots of reporting create a base for who I am and what I represent to the reporting world. My name is Amish Soni and journalism takes shape within my ancestors, a taste and passion made them involved with “The Current.” A need to create an impact on the small world around them became a mission they needed to fulfill in their lives; my grandfathers invested themselves and their separate interests into the world of reporting. To express news and information uniquely inspired them to do the world good when basic information was concerned. Once retired from their world of reporting, not only did their legacies inspire others to carry on the same mission, but inspired a sapling such as myself to give back to the world. The love for journalism keeps me in this class because I keep the concept of reporting high in regard to keep motivating myself to do better and never to be satisfied with the barest of minimums, to strive for the “perfect piece,” this detailing the immense passion I keep for reporting.
