The Hatters' Herald

Joelene Hefferon
This is my first year being a part of the Hatters’ Herald. I decided to take journalism this school year to expand different forms of writing. Growing up I have loved the exciting and intriguing style of journalism writing and always wanted to experience new methods of literature. Now that I am exposed to this new style, I am thrilled to see what the rest of the year will be for me. The main reason why I was interested in joining journalism is to interview individuals, I would like to take on broadcast journalism sometime in college to improve my public speaking. Although broadcast journalism catches my eye, my main focus in college would be toward Biology. Besides journalism, I am president of the National Honors Society and captain to the Danbury girls’ volleyball team. This year I will aim to best inform the Danbury community on events circulating around the DHS campus.
