‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ expected to earn big at the box office

Jon Watts is most known for his previous 2 Spider-Man films; Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home.

Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), and Jacob Batalon (Ned) have all appeared in the previous two Spider-Man movies. Benedict Cumberbatch is Doctor Strange in the MCU. Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin), Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doc Oct), Rhys Ifans (Lizard), Thomas Haden (The Sandman), and J. K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson) all have appeared in previous non MCU Spider-Man movies as villains and they will be reprising those roles in No Way Home.

Plot: In the previous Spider-Man film, Peter Parker was revealed to be Spider-Man and was accused of murder. Peter’s friends and family are in danger because there are now people who hate him so he goes to Doctor Strange to cast a spell to have his identity concealed again. When Strange is casting the spell, something goes wrong and it causes the entire multiverse to collapse. Villains from other universes who have hatred for Spider-Man including Green Goblin, Electro, Doc Ock, Lizard, and the Sandman are now all on the hunt for him and now know his identity. Strange and Peter can send them back to their worlds but it will kill them, Strange is ok with that but Peter isn’t. Strange and Peter clash over ideologies and they clash with the villains.

Release date: The movie is set to release on December 17, 2021.

Outlook: This movie is expected to reach the level of Avengers: Endgame in terms of box office. The first No Way Home trailer broke records set by Endgame and people are anticipating it will do the same in terms of box office. It is also expected to completely blow open the Marvel Cinematic Universe, introducing all new characters and increasing the scale to a whole new level.
