Others argue it’s simply an anthem for treating blacks fairly and equally. The Hatters’ Herald decided to produce this video to hear what students had to say. The video and song were followed up with a performance by Beyoncé at Super Bowl halftime, causing more controversy. Police unions came out with strong condemnation of the performance and the song. A Tennessee sheriff blamed her for several police shootings that happened the week following the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, police in Florida have stated that they will not provide security for the singer’s concerts. All of us led to this production.
