“Freak Offs” and White Parties
The rapper and producer was extremely famous for his popular “White Parties.” These parties were full of countless celebrities such as Paris Hilton who claimed his parties were “iconic.” At the time, the public saw these parties as your average A-list celebrity functions. Combs was considered our modern-day Gatsby. Recently, however, what occurred at these parties has come to light. Attendees have now decided to come forward in regard to the illegal drug use and sexual activity at these parties.
Unidentified attendees and workers have begun filing lawsuits against Combs for what happened at these parties. Combs allegedly sex trafficked his workers to the guests and forcibly gave his workers and guests laced drinks. There have also been allegations made about the sexual activities Combs forced his attendees into. These sexual activities are now known as “Freak Offs.”
Legal Issues
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on Monday, September 16th at New York City Hotel. He was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for purposes of prostitution. He allegedly sexually abused and exploited women as well as used his business to commit illegal actions. Combs pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, September 17th.
November 2023: Cassie Ventura files lawsuit against Combs
In November of 2023 Combs’ one-time girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against him. She accused him of sexually and physically assaulting her during their relationship, calling his rage “uncontrollable.” She also maintained that he had almost total control of her life, all while forcing her to participate in “Freak Offs.” In her statement, it was claimed that the abuse took place for 11 years, from 2007-2018.
Combs denied the allegations made against him.
In May of 2024, video footage surfaced from a 2016 assault on Ventura by Combs after she tried to leave an event of sexual abuse. Months after the original suit was filed, CNN obtained video captured in an LA hotel in March 2016. The footage, with no audio but multiple angles, showed Ventura walking to the elevators as Combs runs towards her in only a towel. He proceeded to hit Ventura, kick her twice, and grab her by her sweater. The video then showed Combs grabbing and throwing an object in her direction. Days after the video was leaked, Combs released a public apology claiming he sought therapy because it was one of the “darkest times” of his life.
November 2023: Joi Dickerson-Neal files lawsuit against Combs
Cassie Ventura’s disclosure of her abusive relationship inspired Joi Dickerdon-Neal to come forward and file a lawsuit against Combs. She claims that Combs drugged her, sexually assaulted her, and recorded the assault without her knowledge. At the time she was still a student at Syracuse University on winter break. The alleged assault occurred on January 3rd, 1991, in Harlem, New York. In a report, Dickerson-Neal said that she “lacked the physical ability or mental capacity to fend Combs off” as he assaulted her. Dickerson-Neal only learned of the recording after the fact from a friend of Combs.
Combs denied the allegations made against him.
November 2023: Liza Gardner files lawsuit against Combs
In November of 2023, Liza Gardner filed a lawsuit against Combs. Her claim stated that sometime between 1990 and 1991 she and a friend met Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall. They met at an MCA Records event in Manhattan. She stated that they were invited to Hall’s apartment with Combs for an after-party. Gardner claims that she was coerced into sex with Combs and Hall, leaving her “shocked and traumatized.” At the time of the assault, Liza Gardner was 16 years old.
Aaron Hall has yet to comment on the allegations made against him. Combs denied the allegations made against him.
December 2023: Jane Doe files lawsuit against Combs
In December of 2023 an unidentified woman, Jane Doe, claimed she had a similar experience when she was 17 years old and Combs was 34. She claimed she was assaulted and sex trafficked by both Combs and Harve Pierre. Harve Pierre is a record producer best known for his work with Combs’ company, “Bad Boy Records.” The suit said that the three met in a lounge in Detroit where Combs convinced her to travel with them on their private jet. She stated that Pierre had been using drugs and forced Doe into sexual acts. She was then taken to a studio in New York City where she was given “copious amounts of drugs and alcohol” and further assaulted by Combs, Pierre, and a third unidentified man. She was unable to consent.
Combs continued to deny the allegations made against him. Pierre called the suit “a tale of fiction.” The unidentified man has not made a statement at this time.
February 2024: Rodney Jones accused Combs of illegal activity
In February 2024, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones accused Combs of Rico Enterprising, claiming that Combs and his associates participated in serious illegal activity. Jones originally worked for Combs as a producer and lived and traveled with Combs from September 2022 to November 2023. During this time he was allegedly sexually harassed and assaulted by Combs and pressured into a sexual relationship. He was also forced to procure sex workers for Combs, and witnessed Combs giving out laced drinks at parties. Jones’ suit claimed that Combs would have him “record [Combs] constantly,” leaving him with hours of footage showing Combs and his associates participating in illegal activity. This footage includes tapes of underaged girls and sex workers at Combs’ parties.
March 2024 Raid
On March 25th, 2024, Federal Agents with Homeland Security raided Combs’ Los Angeles and Miami properties. During this raid, the most criminating items the agents found were firearms and one thousand bottles of baby oil.
Officials stopped Combs as he was leaving the country due to the discoveries made during the raids. The officials also took his cell phones and stated that Combs complied with all proceedings. Combs later described the raid as an ambush and a rush of judgment.
It was alleged that he forced his assistants to stock hotel rooms with baby oil for sexual activities. Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit corroborated this claim.
September 2024: Danity Kane group sues Combs
In September 2024, former Danity Kane group member, Dawn Richard, sued Combs. Dawn Richard was a part of the girl group Danity Kane, which was formed by Combs in 2006. Richards alleged that Combs groped, assaulted, imprisoned, and threatened her when she attempted to help Ventura leave him. She stated that Combs inferred that he had the power to make her disappear.
Sean John Combs’ official arrest
Sean John Combs was arrested on Monday, September 16th by federal agents on a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York. Combs’ attorney is Marc Agnifilo, the prosecution is led by the US attorney, Damian Williams. The US attorney alleges a racketeering case against Combs and claims that since at least 2008 “Combs abused, threatened, and occurred victims to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.” The indictment against him listed allegations dating back to 2008, however, at the time of said allegations, no one had yet come forward with a lawsuit against Combs.
In the indictment, Combs was accused of racketeering conspiracy and using his business to commit illegal activities such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice. Multiple accounts alleged that Combs would force victims to participate in “Freak Offs,” which often lasted days at a time and involved heavy drugs.
His attorney stated that they would fight these charges, asserting that Combs is innocent.
Tupac Shakur’s murder case of 1996 reopening
Tupac Shakur was shot in a drive-by in Los Angeles on September 7th, 1996. He passed 6 days later, on September 13th. The case went unsolved until former gang leader Duane Davis, “Keefe D,” was arrested in September 2023 and charged with murder.
New York attorney Alex Spiro helped the family of Shakur bring to light the potential links between the murder in 1996 and Combs.
Crime scene investigator Sheryl McCollum raised her suspicions alongside the Shakur family during an interview with Lauren Ingle on News nation’s “Banfield.” Although Tupac was the only man injured during the shooting, he was surrounded by Combs and his entourage. McCollum indicated the illogical nature of the robbery scenario. She found it suspicious that Tupac was the only one injured, however, Combs and his entourage were able to make it out unscathed.
Although Combs denied involvement, in 2023 Davis claimed that Combs offered him $1 million to arrange the hit. Alongside the recent allegations made against Combs, the family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. The trial will take place in March 2025.
All Conspiracies made in Comb’s name
Many accusations and conspiracy theories have been made across social media platforms including celebrities such as; Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Left Eye, Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, J-Cole, as well as Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Michael Jackson
In the months after Diddy’s arrest, there has been speculation about underground tunnels linking Comb’s house to Michael Jackson’s Los Angeles properties. This conspiracy surfaced after the 120 allegations made against Combs.
This conspiracy had been fact-checked by Reuters and no evidence was found.
Eminem
After the allegations made in Combs’ name, many have started digging into pop culture references that mention Combs. Fans have cited Fuel by Eminem and JID as evidence against Combs. The lyrics are;
“I’m like an R-A-P-E-R (yeah) Got so many S-As (S-As), S-As (huh) Wait, he didn’t just spell the work “Rapper” and leave out a P, did he? (yep) RIP, rest in peace, Biggie And Pac, both of y’all should be living (yep) But I ain’t tryna beef with (nope) ‘Cause he might put a hit on me like, ‘Keefe D’, get him…”
Many are fixating on the phrase “P, did he”, which sounds like one of Combs’ stage names P-Diddy, indicating that he is a rapist and was involved with the murders of the Notorious B.I.G (Biggie), and Tupac Shakur (Pac).
Although these lyrics seem to say it all, many have speculated that he only made these assumptions based on the reopened cases, not that he was “trying to warn us.” Fans are also analyzing the song “Killshot” which was released in 2018, fixating on the lyrics:
“But Kells, the day you put out a hits the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed”
Eminem claims the song targeted a different rapper, Machine Gun Kelly, even though it drew more attention to Combs. After fans’ responses to these lyrics, Eminem stated that he loved Combs and it was nothing against him. Combs, however, took it personally. The situation escalated when Combs began spreading the news of what Eminem said in his song with other artists such as rapper Jay Electonic. Jay then tweeted that Eminem should be careful before his career comes crashing down.
Although Eminem has called Combs out on multiple occasions through his lyrics, he has yet to make a formal statement about the artist.
Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber began in the music industry at a very young age, a notoriously difficult way to navigate adolescence. He signed a contract with Combs’ label in 2009 and from then on, Combs became a mentor figure to Justin. This relationship did not sit well with Justin Bieber’s fans.
Fans of Justin seemed to think that this relationship was unhealthy, and many are now curious about what went down behind closed doors. Video footage of the two standing next to each other and speaking into the camera sparked controversy when Combs shared that planned to spend 48 hours with the underage musician and that they would engage in “crazy things” that they wouldn’t be able to talk about later. While Combs claims this would be “every teenager’s dream,” Justin appears awkward and scared.
Now in 2024, fans are speculating the meaning behind Justin’s song “Yummy.” Fans have focused on the music video and the hidden message behind it. The video ended with a young Justin Bieber in all-white printed on a plate. Fans seem to believe that this is about P-Diddy’s infamous “white parties.”
Beyonce
Social media theorists have also connected Beyonce Knowles Carter to Combs’ illegal activities. Many believe that Combs and Jay-Z, Beyonce’s husband, have been working together to protect the singer’s career. Many have started to speculate that the two men have been “eliminating” any artist that has come in the way of Beyonce’s success or could be considered a competitor. These theories include the artists who famously died such as Aaliyah, Left Eye Lopes, and Michael Jackson. Fans find it interesting that the three artists all passed on the 25th in what theorists consider “questionable ways.”
Fans have then started to dig deeper into how many artists have thanked Beyonce when winning big-time music awards.
Adele thanked Beyonce after winning Album of the Year at the Grammys in 2017. While Adele gave her speech and began thanking Beyonce, fans speculated that she appeared distraught, upset, and scared. She began crying and even tore her Grammy in half so she could share it with Beyonce. During her speech, Adele said, “I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but the artist of my life is Beyonce.” Many found her crediting Beyonce odd not only because Adele is a talented artist in her own right, but also because her music and fanbase are not in direct competition with Knowles-Carter, their genres are too different.
Lizzo then thanked Beyonce in 2023 at the 65th annual Grammy Awards. She won Record of the Year for her song “About Damn Time.” After mentioning her late mentor Prince, she went into explaining how Beyonce had been such an inspiration to her. She told the story of how she skipped class in 5th grade to see Beyonce perform. While looking almost as distraught as Adele, Lizzo said, “You changed my life, and the way you make me feel, I was like, ‘I wanna make people feel this way with my music.’”
Harry Styles won the Album of the Year award at the Grammys in 2023 for his 3rd solo album, Harry’s House. Prior to his name officially being called, Beyonce stood up assuming she had won the award. As Styles gave his speech, he was heckled by the audience who believed that Beyonce should have won instead. While the audience was shouting at Styles, he was in the process of saying how each person in his category, including Beyonce, had inspired him in some way.
In 2009, Taylor Swift won the Best Music Video award at the VMAs. Swift did not thank Beyonce, nor did she plan to, but Kanye West jumped on stage, took the microphone from her, and did it for her. He had the infamous speech where he said, “Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the greatest music videos of all time.” While in the moment Swift and her fans were stunned, she made jokes later about the speech. Theorists seem to believe that Kanye was not might not have been being rude to Taylor Swift, but instead protecting her from Beyonce.
Beyonce has yet to take legal action against social media platforms for these accusations.
J-Cole
Many of the conspiracy videos made about Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Combs have used “She Knows” by J-Cole as a background song. Speculators believe that “she” is about Jay-Z’s first name Sean, and “Knows” in regards to Beyonce’s last name, Knowles. Fans have been obsessing over the lyrics mentioning the deaths of Aaliyah, Left Eye, and Michael Jackson.
“Rest in peace to Aaliyah, rest in peace to Left Eye, Michael Jackson, I’ll see ya, just as soon as I die.”
Countless theorists have concluded that this song was referencing Combs, Jay-Z, and Beyonce’s involvement in the mysterious deaths of the three artists. Fans seem to believe that along with the lyrics, “She knows” referencing Beyonce and Jay-Z, they are also in reference to Beyonce knowing it was all happening for the sake of her career.
