In an exciting game Thursday between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders, the Eagles managed to secure a win with a final score of 26-18, keeping their season on track for playoff hopes with a record of 8-2.
First quarter the game began with both teams showcasing strong defense, making it through to score. The Commanders got on the scoreboard first with a well executed drive, from Brian Robinson Jr.
The second quarter the pace picked up as the E agles offense found its rhythm. Jalen Hurts went deep with Saquon Barkley but ended short with a field goal from Jake Elliot to get on the board with 3 points.
The third quarter was my personal favorite moment due to the intense moments of the game. The Commanders and Eagles go back and forth with each other on drives leading both teams to score a field goal with the Commanders scoring a 45 yard field goal and Eagles with a 31 yard field goal.
Fourth quarter was filled with the most drama as the Commanders had the lead and the Eagles pushed hard to regain the lead. The most crucial part was when the Commanders player Jayden Daniels got an interception stopping the Eagles drive. The Eagles then scored three touchdowns two by Saquon Barkley and one by Jalen Hurts. The Eagles won the game 26-18, extending their record 8-2.
One of the standout players of the game was Saquon Barkley who is in his first year on the Eagles, he switched from the Giants to another NFC East team which is the Eagles who he had an amazing game scoring 21 points and made key catches that kept the Eagles momentum alive. On the other side, Jayden Daniels impressed with a great performance with 141 yards and 1 interception, giving the eagles defense a hard time.
With this victory, the Eagles continue to push forward in the season. They’ll face the Rams next on Sunday, a game that could prove to be just as thrilling and show they could be a champion team. The Commanders, meanwhile, will look to bounce back and learn from their mistakes as they prepare for their next matchup against the Cowboys, which will be tough.
