My shoes are taking me half way across the country to hot and sunny California to go to California State University in Los Angeles. They will take me to classes in the morning to major in English and in the afternoon they will take me into a studio to dance. Hopefully they’ll take me on tour with someone famous to be a backup dancer. On the weekends they’ll take me to the beach so that I can perfect my surfing skills. Hopefully they will take me to do great things in life so that I can Inspire people all over!- Natalie Ceiliano, Features Editor.

My shoes are taking me to places I thought I’d never be. At UConn next year, I’ll meet so many new people and create experiences that will last a lifetime. Pursuing in business will be my ultimate goal. I hope that I make a difference in someone’s life! – Caroline DeCarvalho, Managing Editor

My shoes are taking me right back into the classroom, but this time my shoes and I will be in charge. My shoes are sometimes on while other times they’re thrown off. But with every step that I take I choose to inspire and change the world with my passion and words. Together my feet and I will walk towards happiness, success, and a bright future. – Chrissy Cardamone, Staff Writer

My next stop in my shoes will be Framingham State University – where I will focus on baseball, and college. I hope the grit on my shoes illustrate the many places I have gone and the different things I have faced. My shoes will continue to help me through hardships and so forth in life. Wear your shoes with pride, and be happy that they are yours.- Michael Tucci, Sports Editor

My next stop in my shoes is Brigham Young University, where I’ll study to figure out where exactly the next stop will be. I’m not sure how long they’ll sparkle, since the glitter is slowly but surely deteriorating, but if I know anything for sure it’s that the soles are going to last as long as I do. I’m so grateful for every step I’ve already taken and every step until then, no matter if my favorite pair gets ruined in the process. I take comfort in hopes that my future is brighter than my sparkly shoes were the first day I wore them. And for future reference – if any spec of glitter ever catches your eye in the DHS halls, you can say you know who it’s from. – Lizzy Newbold, Staff Writer

My shoes may not be actual shoes with laces or even a back to it. I mean I guess that’s out of the ordinary but I’m an extraordinary girl. My shoes, or slippers in this case, will take me to my new home – Philadelphia. But they’ll also be a wonderful reminder of my home here. My old home and my new home. I wear my slippers every day. They represent my laziness and sluggishness – but also my softness. The plush feeling against my toes is something that’s incomparable. And the look of them – they’re so pretty. Not to over compliment myself and call myself pretty or something but I think everything about my life is beautiful. I’ve worn these shoes for a while now, and like them my life may be “worn” but definitely not “worn out”. It’s only the beginning. – Renee Cunningham, Staff Writer

My shoes will take me to Merrimack College where I will major in Communications. Being only 30 minutes away from Boston my shoes will take me to explore new places in the city and beyond. With each step, I hope to make the most out of what’s to come, with graduations, college, travel opportunities, meeting new people and more. My shoes may be taking me away from my true home, but I can’t wait to end up at my new home for the next four years in North Andover, Massachusetts. – Katie Clark, Staff Writer

Shoes take me in circles over and over again. However, they also bring me for miles, and to places more profound than simply distance. My shoes bring me to great heights, and seldom low spots. They bring me failure, but more often success in the form of a State or New England Championship. They brought me to college, and they’ll take me around the world after that. Yes, shoes are a big deal for me-I wouldn’t be who I am without them.-Jake Roberts, Sports Writer

Right now my shoes are still deciding on where they are trying to go. With still a year to put my thoughts together, I’m trying my hardest to lead my own path. My shoes are becoming independent but stressed by hard work and determination. They may be a little beat, but they’ll carry me through the day and they’ll help me get to where I need to be. – Joy-Anne Foster, Staff Writer

My shoes will take me to Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA where I will major in English and minor in Journalism. Then they will hopefully take me to get my masters and doctorates degrees and become a successful editor. – Corinne Philbin, Arts Editor
