Lila Schlissel, Contributing Writer
I’m a junior here at DHS, and this is my first year writing for the Hatters’ Herald. However, I’ve always enjoyed writing, whether it be novelle, poetry, or defensible arguments. The writing team at the Hatters’ Herald was appealing to me because I wanted to expand my writing experience and be able to become more involved in the school community, especially after the past year in isolation. I look forward to documenting the student experience here at DHS, and hope to bring topics of interest to the readers of Danbury High School. I’m also involved in other clubs and societies, including National English Honors Society, Word Warriors, and the Nutmegger. I play softball at the varsity level for DHS, and in my free time I’m also involved in competitive dance, Girl Scouts, and the school band. Any other waking minutes of my days are filled with reading the many books I have stockpiled, or listening to music: a mix of Tchaikovsky, Hans Zimmer, and the Arctic Monkeys.
