This past weekend (1/28) the Danbury Lady Hatters, and the boy Hatters faced off in the WCSU gym against the Ridgefield Tigers to give honor to Bob DiNardo, a former officer and hero around Danbury who died of cancer in 2009.

The game was special to both teams, with the girls tipping off at 1 P.M and the boys tipping off at 3 P.M against the Tigers at the O’Neill Center.

Although the Lady Hatters host this game each year, wearing the color pink to pay tribute, this was the first year both varsity teams played for Officer DiNardo.

However, both the Hatters teams came up short to the Ridgefield Tigers; the Lady Hatters lost 52-43 and the boys lost 47-45 in a fourth-quarter thriller.

Danbury Hatters star forward Cam Perkins continued his hot run for the Hatters, and he is an option to be voted for Ruden Report-Farfield County Player of the week, and the GametimeCT High School athlete of the week.
