Boys basketball 

Head coach: Casey Bock

Season expectations: Winter is here and so is the sports that come along with it, one of Danbury high schools biggest sports for boys and girls will start shortly. The Danbury boys will have their first game on Dec. 19 right here at Danbury high school. The girls basketball team will have their first official game on Dec. 16 against pomperaug home at Danbury high school. After a 12-4 season and qualifying for the FCIAC tournament, the boys look to keep up the good work in the new season, In a word coach Boch described his feelings for this season as “confident”. 2019-20 Schedule 

Boys indoor track 

Coach: Robert Murray

Season expectations:

Coach Murray and his track team will start their season for this school shortly with their first meet on Dec. 20 for the Coach Saint invitational at the New York City armory. Coach Murray, who has been head coach for years is wishing for another amazing season with his boys. When asked what has led to his success over he stated “I had good runners, but I had even better people.” Hopefully another great season will prove that statement true. Girls indoor track: 

Coach: Nick Fraticelli

Season expectations: The girls indoor track will attend the same NYC invitational meet as the boys will on Dec.20 with track coach Nick Fraticelli looking to keep up the good work since their last season. Boys ice hockey

Coach: Rusty Granacker 

Season expectation: 

Captain: Christian Gardecki 

Season expectations: The Danbury boys ice hockey season starts Dec.18 at the Danbury ice arena starting at 7:40 p.m. Rusty Granacker and his boys 2018 season isn;t look at as the best but there is always room to improve. Girls Ice Hockey 

Coaches: Lauren Lubrani and Rachael Morrison

Season expectations: The girls hockey team starts on Dec.17 against Trumbull-St.Joseph at the sports arena of ct in shelton starting at 5:30.  Last season the Ridgefield-Danbury had a 9-10-1 record last year and were just below .500 for the year, better than the boys ice hockey but they still hope to improve and have an even better year behind coaches Lauren Lubrani and Rachael Morrison.

Season expectations:  Another DHS wrestling season is here and Danbury High School is known for their outstanding wrestling team> Mr. Shook and his boys look to keep up their remarkable work after a 6-0 season last year and carry it over to this season.
