Disney Plus’ ‘Hawkeye’ puts Clint Barton in the spotlight

Director: Rhys Thomas is the director of the new series Hawkeye. Thomas has directed many other shows and movies including the comedy Staten Island Summer. 

Actors: Jermey Renner will be playing Clint Barton, otherwise known as Hawkeye, in the Hawkeye series. Renner is best known for his appearances in Marvel Movies playing the once underrated Hawkeye character. Hailee Steinfeld will be playing Kate Bishop in the new Hawkeye series. Steinfeld is best known for playing the role of Emily in Pitch Perfect.

Background: The new series Hawkeye is based off of Clint Barton, who plays Hawkeye, in many other marvel movies. This series is meant to go deeper in detail on Barton and his character. The new series is set in New York City following the events of Avengers: Endgame and is believed to be the “current” Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Preview: Marvel Studios’ is releasing the series Hawkeye, a new Disney+ original series, which is set to be aired Nov. 24. Marvel is finally giving limelight to many of the underrated characters and going deeper into these characters’ origins.

Hawkeye will be starring Jermy Renner, who is playing his role of Clint Barton, and introducing his archery prodigy Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). The first season of Hawkeye is set to be a Christmas special where  Barton has the simple mission of returning to his family for Christmas. 

Barton feels as if the past has caught up with him and realizes that it is something he needs to be worried about. Though he knows he is going to have to put up a good fight he promises his family not to worry and that he would be home for Christmas. 

Barton meets Bishop, another archer who claims to be the world greatest, and starts to work with her. Barton realizes that the more the time passes the more complicated things have become.

You will not want to miss this Marvel Studios’ Christmas special during the holiday season. As it is sure to be “the most wonderful time of the year” mentioned many times in this Hawkeye trailer.

Release Date: Hawkeye will be released on November 24, 2021. 

Outlook: Hawkeye is set to be the next biggest Marvel series following the Disney+ Marvel What If? series.
