Pearl Chia, Contributing Writer
As a sophomore, this is my first year involved in Hatters Herald. Since I was young, I’ve always loved to read and write. Getting the chance to write for a school organized newspaper and collaborate with others is a great opportunity that will undoubtedly help me grow as an individual and writer. I look forward to being able to contribute to the newspaper and improve my writing skills, as well as help the newspaper grow to the best of my ability. As for other extracurricular, I’m involved in XC/Track, as well as a variety of other school clubs such as Model UN, Debate, Key Club, and hopefully more to come. I love being involved in school activities and contributing to the community to the best of my ability. In general, I’ve always preferred to read fiction. However, I’m excited to be able to grow with more nonfiction writing and journalism.
