The Danbury Hatters defended their crown at the Tip-Off Classic this past weekend (12/15 & 16) at the Danbury War Memorial

The Danbury Hatters opened their season with a bang, defeating the Abbott Tech Wolverines on Thursday 75-41 in the first round of the tournament. 

The Hatters then entered the championship game that Friday and beat the notorious rivals, the Ridgefield Tigers 67-65 in a double-overtime thriller. This victory meant the Hatters won back-to-back Tip-Off Classic titles. Cushi Perkins, the team’s point guard was named tournament MVP.

The Hatters will face Middletown on January 3rd at home, with tip-off scheduled for 7 pm sharp.
