Easily, one of the most anticipated events throughout the school year is the annual Spirit Week. Launching Monday, Oct. 24 and topping off with the Homecoming Dance Saturday night, students will have the opportunity to showcase their school spirit. Here is the schedule:

  • On Monday, students will display their patriotism in the annual red, white and blue day.
  • On Tuesday, the only new event will have tacky tourists taking over the school.
  • Wednesday will allow students to dress up as their favorite characters from cartoons or TV/movie characters.
  • Thursday, each grade twinning with each other as the freshmen wear pink, sophomores wear purple, juniors wear lime green and the seniors wear black.
  • On Friday the campus will be swimming in orange and blue; that night, the stands in the stadium will be full of Hatters’s fans cheering on the football team in its Homecoming game against Fairfield Warde at 7 p.m.
  • To cap off the week, at 7 p.m. Saturday a carnival-themed Homecoming Dance will take place in the DHS cafeteria.
