  • Attention all baseball players. There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday 11/16 at 2:10 in D167/169. The meeting will last about 1 hour. Please bring a copy of your current report card.
  • The Young Republicans will meet after school on Thursday, 11/16 in room D268. New members are welcome!
  • There will be a mandatory Ski Team meeting Thursday, Nov. 16, in E295 from 2:15-2:45 for anyone interested in joining this winter.  If you cannot attend, you must see Coach Halas in the girls locker room.
  • The famous dance company Pilobolus, which has performed on the Academy Awards, is holding a dance workshop in Danbury. No dance experience necessary.  Free to the first 10 students who register.  For more information, please pick up a flyer in the Main Office.

  • Ours and other girls soccer teams across the FCIAC are raising awareness for, and helping to support CPR certification by selling bracelets and donating the money to the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Cardiology fund. Bracelets are available for $1 and will be sold in the cafeteria and at the football game today.
  • JV Cheerleading tryouts will start this Monday, Nov. 6, at 2:45 in the Old gym. You must have a current physical on file with the school nurse. Any questions, see Mrs. Tatarzycki in the Athletic Office, E297.

Congratulations to Jakob Camacho on his first national title. Last weekend Camacho was the first ever Connecticut wrestler to win the Super 32 tournament held in Greensboro, N.C. The senior is also the first national champion in the history of  Danbury High School.

  • The final push is on for the 2017 Fall blood drive sponsored by Air Force JROTC.  We are still in need of about 40 volunteers to give blood.  Staff and students are both encouraged to seek out an ROTC member and get signed up.  Visit our table in the Cafeteria and do your part.  The RED CROSS is in desperate need of blood and plasma.  Snacks will be provided as well as a special token of appreciation after you give on Halloween.  Each pint of blood has the ability to save 3 lives.

  • CPEP After School Program Meeting, TODAY, Oct 25 at 2-4pm Room C532 , after school bus available. Looking for students,from all grades and backgrounds, to be part of an after school program focused on STEM entrepreneurship – including hands on challenges and building a company to fill a market need from the ground up. The program will run on Wednesdays after school from 2-4pm each week of the school year and could lead to a summer paid internship.
  • The final push is on for the 2017 Fall blood drive sponsored by Air Force JROTC.  We are still in need of about 40 volunteers to give blood.  Staff and students are both encouraged to seek out an ROTC member and get signed up.  Visit our table in the Cafeteria and do your part.  The RED CROSS is in desperate need of blood and plasma.  Snacks will be provided as well as a special token of appreciation after you give on Halloween.  Each pint of blood has the ability to save 3 lives.

  • The NAACP Great Debate field trip is tomorrow! Meet the bus outside the auditorium at 8:15. Bus leaves at 8:30. Please see your history teacher to check that your name is on the final list.   • Get ready for Danbury High School Productions biggest musical yet — Disney’s “High School Musical.” If you are interested in auditioning please come to the informational meeting on Thursday, October 5th, from 2-2:45 in A304.  You do not need ANY experience.  If you think you might be interested, come join us on Thursday to get the information you will need.  You will not be auditioning that day.  Please see Mr. Burnett with any questions.
