HBSA holds Certified Nursing Assistant pinning ceremony

Students who passed their Certified Nursing Assistant exams receive their CNA pins during HSBA’s ceremony on Tuesday. Teachers Katie Tong and Nicole Gurney run the rigorous program.

HBSA’s pinning ceremony for Certified Nursing Assistant program graduates was held June 19 in the auditorium. According to Katie Tong, who teaches the rigorous CNA program with Nicole Gurney, 65 students passed their exams and were presented CNA pins. About 150 family and friends attended the ceremony. With the certification, a student is qualified to pursue a CNA job.
