The DHS girl’s basketball team, dubbed “The Lady Hatters” have been making an effort to push this season. The 21-22 record season leaders have been winning games this year and have the second-best record in the FCIAC west division, just behind Trumbull. The lady hatters have 8 more games in the regular season to make an impact.

An upcoming game against The Ridgefield Tigers has been set up at the WCSU O’Neill Center in recognition of Bob DiNardo, an officer of our community who was taken away from us while battling cancer. Funds will be sent to cancer research in his memory.

Check out Lily Calipas’s article for more info on the charity game: https://hattersherald.com/14404/sports/the-bob-dinardo-memorial-game/

Games against the likes of Fairfield Warde and the FCIAC leaders Fairfield Ludlowe could be crucial in maintaining the record the team is carrying. Four of the next eight games are here in our New Gym so it is important to support our teams and show our school spirit. The @hatters_hooters on Instagram have been sure to show our team some love by reminding students about upcoming games throughout the week.
